Hello, I’m James and I absolutely love creative challenges. As the co-founder of Fixperts and Sugru it’s fair to say that fixing stuff is in my bones.
Fixing for strangers is a project that began one day when I found a broken bin disposed of on the street. My curiosity got the better of me and what started as an innocent fix grew into a framework for thinking and proactive problem solving rooted in the real world.
Fixing for strangers relies on observation to discover broken stuff while I’m out and about and fixing them takes me on a journey of discovery as I explore the bigger picture hidden behind what is often a deceptively innocent problem.
The project is in it’s nascent stages right now and I’ve only published two blog posts but there are several more in development. The thing is, once I get started, a whole world opens up before me and leads me down a rabbit hole of discovery.
Over time I’m confident that the project will take form and make more sense but in the mean time, think of it as an open exploration into the tiny, invisible, inconsequential, minute of our everyday.
Thank you for reading and please, sign up so you can read my posts as they are published.
James
